Michael was born with a congenital shortening of the left arm. A relative latecomer to triathlon, entering his first race in September 2020, Michael has enjoyed a rapid rise to success becoming the British PTS5 Triathlon Champion in July 2021. He successfully defended the title in 2022.
Michael balances his training and race schedule with a full time job as a teacher and expedition leader. In his spare time he enjoys surfing and exploring new places.
