Biography

Yannick took up triathlon at age 14 in 1989. In 2006, he was training for triathlon when he suffered an accident that left his right arm paralysed. He then started competing in paratriathlon events winning 13 ITU World Paratriathlon events between 2005 and 2016, as well as securing the title of Winter Paralympian at the Torino and Vancouver Winter Games.

As of 2017, Yannick holds 13 gold medals as well as 26 impressive podiums.

Recent Highlights

- 2nd place at the 2017 Altafulla ITU Paratriathlon World Cup;
- 3rd place at the 2017 Iseo - Franciacorta ITU Paratriathlon World Cup;
- 4th place at the 2017 Kitzbühel ETU Triathlon European Championships;
- 10th place at the 2017 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final Rotterdam; and
- 5th place at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Paralympic Games.
