Biography

Amy lost 98% of her sight due to a rare type of Uveitis (an inflammatory autoimmune eye disease), but overcame this obstacle and went onto have great success an elite Paratriathlete.  2016-2021 USA Paratriathlon National Team Member, and currently ranked number eight in the world in the sport of Paratriathlon as a visually impaired female.  In 2015, she founded Camp “No Sight No Limits” to train more blind athletes to become elite in the sport, ensuring the future of blind triathlon in the USA.  Amy was the 2016 ITU Aquathlon World Champion. She is a current member of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Team

Amy speaks to groups about empowering yourself to overcome obstacles, such as illness, injury and professional challenges by educating yourself and becoming an expert in what challenges you. Her message, “One does not need sight to have vision,” which powerfully reflects her determination to succeed in all aspects of her professional and personal and athletic life.
