World Triathlon

The event is part of the week long triathlon festival, called TriWeek. The format of the Junior European Cup has changed compare to the previous years. The athletes will do a preliminary heat and the final. The two races will complete a full sprint distance. This format is officially a trial event for possible future ITU events format. The top 10 athletes from each preliminary and the next best 5 times. Preliminary Heats Distances: Swim: 500m; Bike: 13,2km; Run: 3,2km; Start Mechanism: From the bank of the lake. Swim course: Water temperature: 23C Number of laps: 2 laps Two laps of a 250 meter circuit - Wetsuit not expected Bike Course: Number of laps: 1 Flat circuit – Good pavement Run Course: Number of laps: 2 Flat circuit – 2 Aid stations in each lap.
