Welcome to the 33rd running of the Devonport Triathlon. We are very excited to be hosting the only World Cup level event in Australia. Welcome to our Interstate and Overseas visitors. COURSE DISTANCES Para Triathlon – Sprint Distance 750m SWIM (1 x 750m laps) – Ocean Swim/Beach start 20km BIKE (6 x 3.4km laps) – 1 technical section & 2 x U turns per lap 5km RUN (2 x 2.5km laps) – Flat and fast Para Triathlon Course Description SWIM – 750m lap Ocean swim with beach start Water Temperature 15-21 degrees celsius BIKE – 3.4km lap Turn Right out of carpark and head West along Bluff Road to William St intersection (approx. 200m) From William St intersection head West along Coles Beach Road Turn LEFT at Coles Beach travel over train line and turn Right onto North Street. Turn LEFT into Nixon Street at bottom of the hill U turn just before Monash Crt intersection Return to transition via Coles Beach Road and Bluff road to complete 3.4km lap U Turn Points · Monash Crt on Nixon st · Hockey Centre Carpark on Bluff Rd/Victoria Parade COMMENTS · 2 x U turns per 3.4km lap RUN – 2.5km lap Head East to George Street and return along Bluff Road/Victoria Parade (staying on the road) Please go to http://www.devonporttriathlon.com.au/ for further detail and maps
