ORGANIZATION OF THE EVENT - Event: Europe Triathlon Winter Championships 2023 Andorra - Location: Sant Julià de Lòria / NATURLAND - Dates: 28th & 29th January 2023 - Organiser: THE IRONMAN GROUP COMPETITION RULES The Europe Triathlon Winter Championships 2023 Andorra will follow the latest competition rules published by World Triathlon. The characteristics of the MTB must comply with UCI MTB regulations. Cyclo-cross or gravel bicycles are not allowed. CATEGORIES - Elite/U23: Standard Distance/2x2Mixed Team relays - Junior: Sprint Distance/2x2Mixed Junior Team Relays - Para: Sprint Distance - AG: Standard Distance 70+ AGE GROUP ATHLETES - RULE EXCEPTION: Following the World Triathlon Technical Committee’s decision, a rule exception has been approved for the 70+ age group athletes. They will complete a shorter distance during the race. New distances are: • RUN: 3 laps, total distance 4.2k (instead of 4 laps, 5.6k) • BIKE: 2 laps, total distance 6.4k (instead of 4 laps, 12.8k) • SKI: 2 laps, total distance 6.2k (instead of 3 laps, 9.3k) The start for the 70+ Age Group athletes will be given 1 min after the age group start: - 09:00 - 18-69 categories men - 09:01 - 70+ men - 09:10 - 18-69 categories women - 09:11 – 70+ women ENTRY FEES (EURO) - Elite/U23 – 95€ - Juniors – 60€ - Mixed relay – 85€ - Para – 80€ - AG – 90 € REGISTRATION PROCESS - Registration opening – November 17th - Registration close – January 12th (Elite until 48h before the briefing) - Age-Group athletes need to contact their National Federation (NF) for further information - In case an athlete is not able to get in touch with his/her NF, s/he should contact agegroup@triathlon.org - NFs must collect the entry fees from athletes. No athlete can directly pay to the LOC - National uniform must be worn. Contact your NF.
