World Triathlon

The Spring Garden course is situated on one of the calmest coasts in Barbados, situated a stone’s throw out of the capital, Bridgetown. The crystal clear Caribbean Sea gives triathletes the opportunity to view beautiful coral reefs while swimming and the chance to spot a turtle, very likely. The Bike & Run courses share the same tarmac with almost zero elevation except for a small incline at the north turn on the Bike. Barbados also boasts some of the best weather conditions in the world with an average yearly temperature of 28 degrees C and water temperature of 26 degrees C at race time. This beautiful island provides the perfect opportunity for competitors and non-competing partners and families to stay and enjoy the relaxed environment and attractions. Prize money distribution. Elite men and women: 1st. 1,500 USD 2nd. 1,250 USD 3rd. 1,000 USD 4th. 750 USD 5th. 500 USD Announcements Triathletes participating in the Bridgetown CC, if you wish to swim at the Barbados Aquatic Centre prior to the event please note the following times the pool is available. Due to the CARIFTA Swimming Championships being held pool time will be restricted for drop ins to April 18 & 19 between 12:30pm and 2:00 pm and April 20 between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm. Triathletes wishing to use the Aquatic Centre need to check in at the front desk or the office and pay the drop in fee which will be BBD $10. Athletes can swim the course on Saturday between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm, this is not an organized event by the LOC and there will be no medical or lifeguards present. Thanks BFIT
